District Expectations on
Use of Clear Learning Targets
Every teacher is expected to create clear learning targets for each lesson. These targets should:
- Align to the Standard Course of Study
- Align with existing district curriculum maps
- Address the specific skills, concepts, or reasoning expected
- Use clear, measurable terms
- Use student-friendly language
- Enable students to state what they are learning and why
